Welcome to The Table Arts Collective

Welcome.

Once upon a time The Church was a key player in the world's art culture. The Church. There was a time when there was no separation between faith and art. As the years have progressed someone along the way deemed it necessary to draw a line in the sand. To be taken seriously in this day and age one must create art that is utterly unique and yet utterly accessible, void of religious attachments or else be labeled with the now dreaded title of "Christian Artist." As a result, the church has become deprived of good art.

It is time for change.

It is time to change the notion that Christian Art is limited to portraits of Jesus laughing, sermons disguised as songs, and photos of people with arms lifted to the sky in an empty field.

As believing artists, our faith is such a vital component to who we are. It is what shapes us. Our art is how we express what moves us. It is how we communicate. It is time to reconnect our faith with our art.

Here at The Table, we want to provide an environment that encourages you in your artistic endeavors no matter what your skill set. We care about your art, we care about your faith, we care about you. We want your perspective, we need your expression. This blog is designed to spotlight artists within our community here at the table, and the influential artists that have inspired us. This community is designed to encourage you as an artist, and to never tear your down.

Welcome to The Table's Art Collective.
